Choosing a wooden arrow
All four are traditional wood arrows cut to your length, spined to your bow and fletched in your colours. They differ in the timber, the finish and how closely the dozen is matched.
| Arrow | Best for | Per dozen |
|---|---|---|
| Whitewood | The lowest price wood arrow, for practice | $119.99 |
| Birch | A tough first dozen for a new bow | $149.99 |
| Port Orford cedar | Competition, TAA builds on request | $209.99 |
| Tigris by ABA | Matched within 10 grains, tiger belly finish | $269.99 |
Looking after wooden arrows
Store them flat or upright in a quiver, away from heat and damp. Check each shaft for cracks before you shoot, and flex a suspect arrow gently away from your face: a cracked wooden arrow should be retired, not shot.
